Cults – You Know What I Mean

New York duo Cults have been mentioned by many as a band to watch this year. An album is expected by festival season, and this latest track proves why that’s something to look forward to.

Brian Oblivion and Madeline Follin are originally from San Diego and it seems that their native California has certainly left its sunny and sandy traces on the duo.

‘You Know What I Mean’ begins like a 60’s influenced slow jam with its echo laden arpeggio guitar, bubble gum vocals and shake and clap beat. However, as the track explodes into a terrific chorus; loud and brilliantly catchy.

The track is below, or check out more of the bands revivalist pop tunes from their Go Outside EP at their bandcamp page.
